Video transcript:

Good morning, I’m Luca Picciolo, mechanical engineer. Welcome to IMSA booth, we specialize in the manufacture of deep drilling machines.

We’re here to introduce the new MF1450BB, first machine of the new Evolution series by IMSA.

As the other IMSA machines, this machine has a vertical gantry structure, that provides rigidity rated 16 times better than that supplied on traditional columns; and, as usual in IMSA machines, is equipped with double spindle: one for deep drilling, and one for milling.

The Evolution series stands out in respect of our classical productions thanks to many improvements applied to different parts of the machine.

First of all, the power and performance of this milling spindle has been improved, from ISO40 to ISO50, now liquid-cooled, instead of an air-cooled ISO 40 spindle;

The machine rapid movements have been increased from 10 meters per minute to 20 meters per minute;

The accuracy and repeatability of the axes movements have been improved thanks to the adoption of a double scale system for X-axis movement, and scales also for Y-axis movement;

The new design also improved the table position measuring system, thanks to an optical measuring system also for the table angles.
